It is with honor and happiness that I am able to share my art with you. And thanks for visiting my site. I'm very new at this and I will make some mistakes, I'm sure. I hope you enjoy these works.
I began painting early in junior high school, and then in high school in Bossier City, LA. I later went to college to study art at Louisiana State University-Shreveport for over 4 years majoring in fine arts. I became a cosmetologist in 1985 and began working as a stylist.
Since then, I have continued to paint and create in several mediums--oil, acrylic, mosaic, photography. But my heart has always been drawn to watercolor. I try a to attend at least 2 watercolor workshops per year in various places in the US to try and hone my skills as a painter even more.
Many of my images are inspired by the angels and muses that surround the gravesites in New Orleans cemeteries. I also like to paint some of the native plants that most of us have in bloom year round. I use several techniques, please ask if you'd like to know more. Enjoy!!
